Bring an idea, a photograph, or a drawer of inherited jewelry. Stephanie sketches with you at the counter, sources the stones, and carves and casts the piece in the workshop behind the showroom. You see the wax before it becomes gold.

Our Story

A family-owned Galveston jeweler, three generations deep

Stephanie Satow-Higinio learned the trade as a child beside her father, master jeweler Steve Satow. She graduated from the New Approach School for Jewelers in 2007, studied at GIA, and won the 2011 Johnson Matthey Sustainable Design Award. In August 2021 she and her husband Shaka Magarada Higinio opened Generations Jewelers on Galveston Island.

Since then the store has become known on the Island for careful repair work, original custom design, and plain honesty at the counter. The team, Keziah, Justin, Kylee and Alex, and the shop dog Moose, are part of the family.
